Gate Valve
Seat reacted ball valves are the traditional choice for well isolation valves used in well intervention and completion systems deployed through a marine riser and drilling BOP. The seat reacted design offers high sealing integrity at the expense of high operating forces generated by the ball/seat contact when operating the valve, often resulting in differentially induced stalling when operated in high flow rate environments.
Benefits
Mechanism creates lower friction forces during actuation to eliminate risk of mechanism binding
Pump through and equalisation achieved through ball rotation to provide high flow area whilst eliminating risk of seal damage
To overcome this problem Enovate developed the En-Power ball valve that features a dual operating process, being trunnion mounted to provide low resistance during opening and closing and reverting to a seat reacted layout when closed to provide a secure ball/seat contact for high sealing integrity.
Advantages
Mechanism design offers high tolerance to debris to increase reliability and performance
Mechanism eliminates flow induced differential stalling during closure
Reduced operating forces during actuation improve valve closure and response times

Applications
The En-Power ball valve is available in a wide range sizes and pressure ratings for both open water and thru riser well intervention operations
