Ram Valve
The volumetric envelope associated with subsea workover systems generally dictate that systems are designed around conventional ball or flapper valves. Enovate have developed the En-Tervene ram valve to that provides the superior cutting and sealing performance normally related with a drilling BOP ram valve in a compact body to replace traditional ball and flapper valves.
Benefits
Offers a fully pressure balanced system that offers the choice of fail-as-is or fail safe close operating modest risk of mechanism binding
Provides bi-directional pressure support through use of a replaceable floating seat
Provides bi-directional pressure support through use of a replaceable floating seat
Linkage mechanism intensifies the closure force at the ram face to significantly increase the shear capability of the valve
Ram seals are designed for optimum sealing characteristics using pressure energised sealing technology

Where a traditional BOP is operated via dual horizontally opposed actuators, En-Tervene is configured with a vertically mounted piston and mechanical linkage that transmits the vertical movement of the actuator to the horizontal movement of the ram to provide a BOP with an external envelope capable of being deployed in areas with limited access or for through riser operations.
Advantages
Provides improved cutting and sealing performance by using the differential forces created during closure to intensify the closure force
Reduces the risk of seal erosion through the seal being protected by the ram shear blades
Independent shear blade and sealing interfaces to provide superior shear and seal integrity

Applications
The En-Tervene ram valve is available for a wide range of applications in subsea through riser, open water and surface intervention operations from lubricator and subsea test tree valves to BOP applications for coiled tubing and drilling operations
